Overview As our Room Hire Coordinator here at The Pulse, you’ll help us make the most of our fantastic facilities, which include radio studios, sound studios, classrooms, and a TV room. Your role will involve: Responsibilities Promoting our spaces to potential users (bands, businesses, hobby groups, podcasters, community organisations, etc.) Managing bookings, coordinating with other volunteers, and ensuring rooms are clean and ready Being the point of contact for room hirers – before, during, and after their use of the space You’ll be supported by our friendly admin and cleaning volunteer teams and work alongside a diverse group of volunteers who are passionate about radio and community. The Pulse has recently become independent and volunteer‑run; this is an exciting time to get involved, as we all work together to keep the station alive and telling local stories. In this role, you can also learn about local radio operations, attend station events, and even try your hand on air if you’d like (The Pulse radio station also has spare offices, wifi and a kitchen for volunteers). Category Community Services Commitment Regular – more than 6 months Type Of Work Administration & Office Management, Marketing, Media & Communications Time Required Ideally the equivalent of 2 working days per week – this can be negotiated.
