As a General Tradesperson, you’ll work on a variety of building and maintenance projects for council facilities—no two days are the same. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in quality, and wants stability with room to grow. About the Role This is a hands‑on position with plenty of variety. Carry out maintenance and repairs on council buildings, facilities, and other infrastructure Handle tasks like carpentry, minor construction, and general building upkeep Perform skilled work including wall & floor tiling, plastering, concreting, rendering, welding, and bricklaying Inspect assets and record results to ensure everything meets council standards Manage tools, equipment and materials securely and report any issues Provide guidance and supervision to apprentices when required Follow WHS requirements and council safety procedures to keep everyone safe Complete job records and manage purchasing for materials and services Your work will directly impact the quality and safety of spaces used by the local community every day.
