About the Client Our client is a major government organization delivering road, traffic, and civil infrastructure projects across Regional NSW. With increasing project demand across the Far West and Central West regions, they are seeking multiple Project Engineers to join their teams based in Dubbo.The Opportunity We have three contract opportunities for Project Engineers to support the development and delivery of road maintenance and minor works projects across several Local Government Areas.These roles sit within Project Services West and involve working closely with council partners and internal engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Manage the delivery of road maintenance and minor works to agreed time, cost, quality and scope. Oversee the investigation, design development, and delivery readiness phases for assigned projects. Lead engagement and contract administration of Road Maintenance Council Contract partners. Implement sound cost management, forecast accuracy, and financial reporting. Drive strong safety, environmental and quality practices in line with organisational standards. Coordinate and guide surveillance activities to manage project and delivery risks. Collaborate with internal engineering teams, councils and delivery partners to resolve issues and achieve project outcomes. Prepare documentation, reports, project briefs, and maintain accurate data for decision making. Travel across precinct LGA councils with occasional overnight stays. Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline such as environmental engineering). Current Driver’s Licence (C Class) . White Card . 3–5+ years’ experience in a Project Engineer / Civil Engineer role. Experience in Civil infrastructure, roadworks, maintenance or minor works delivery. Contract and stakeholder management (RMCC highly regarded). Project management, scheduling and financial controls. Working autonomously across regional precincts. Preferred Attributes Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Self-motivated and comfortable working across a large geographic area. Ability to remain calm in changing or challenging project environments. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capability. We encourage and support applications from people with a disability.
