About Sport4All The Sport4All (S4A) Program has been commissioned and funded by the Federal Government and Australian Sports Commission to build inclusion capability in community and school sport. The S4A Program employs local Inclusion Coaches into communities to help sporting clubs and schools to be more accessible and inclusive for people with disability. The program is designed and delivered by GSA. The program works nationwide through partnerships with local governments, schools, clubs, and disability communities. About City of Bunbury The City of Bunbury is a local government area (LGA) located in the South West region of Western Australia, approximately 175 kilometres south of Perth. Bunbury is a regional hub with a population of more than 75,000 people, serving as a commercial, administrative and service centre for the surrounding areas, with a diverse economy centred on industries such as manufacturing, tourism, agriculture and port operations. The South West Sports Centre is a major recreational facility operated by the City of Bunbury, providing a range of sporting and leisure activities for the region. The centre features indoor and outdoor sporting facilities, including basketball and netball courts, swimming pools, a gym and other amenities that support the region's active lifestyle. About Shire of Capel The Shire of Capel is located in the South West, halfway between Bunbury and Busselton. We are nestled between the beach and the forest and are one of the fastest growing coastal Shires in Australia. About the Inclusion Coach Role The 'Inclusion Coach' must be a person with disability and/or lived connection to disability who has been involved in sport as a player, volunteer, or administrator. The Inclusion Coach will work within the City of Bunbury and Shire of Capel to support implementation of inclusive sport and recreation programs across the two local government areas to connect local sporting clubs and schools with the S4A website and resources and help them to complete the S4A training program. The Inclusion coach will use their real-life disability experiences and the experiences of their network to build relationships with the clubs and schools which will help them to understand the purpose of S4A and the benefits and opportunities the program can bring. The Inclusion Coach will be trained in the S4A program at the beginning of the role, with further training and development offered. The Inclusion Coach will be managed by the GSA Sport4All WA State Manager and supported by the City of Bunbury's Disability Inclusion Officer as well as South West Sports Centre - Sport & Recreation Team; and Shire of Capel Community Development Officer - Sport & Recreation/Community Development. Key Responsibilities and Activities of the Role Work with the City of Bunbury and Shire of Capel to connect local clubs and schools with the Sport4All programme training and resources. Create a plan with the City of Bunbury and Shire of Capel to contact and keep connections with sporting clubs and schools for reporting purposes. Be supported by the program manager and use your lived experience of disability to provide City employees an opportunity to grow and learn about the difference between disability, accessibility, and inclusion and its relation to sport. Contribute to S4A programme meetings to ensure goals are being met and measured. Understand the S4A programme goals and work towards achieving these through collaboration with the City of Bunbury and Shire of Capel and local sporting clubs and schools. Help sporting clubs and schools to connect with other relevant organisations to achieve their inclusion goals. Check in, assess, and support sports clubs, schools, and organisations to create more inclusive sporting opportunities for people with disability. Support schools and clubs to deliver inclusive sports activities such as sessions and workshops. Promote the Sport4All programme and educate community groups about how participation in sports can help people with disability. Share with all community members the opportunities for people with disability to participate in all sporting activities. Support the City of Bunbury and Shire of Capel to identify the sporting needs of people with disability within the local community. Keep records and data up to date on which clubs, schools, and organisations connect and complete the Sport4All Programme, and keep records of the people with disability participating in sport within the local community. Essential Skills, Knowledge and Qualities Ability to create strong relationships with the people and groups interested or connected to the S4A programme. Ability to use a range of communication types including face‑to‑face, email and phone, to connect with many different people and groups within the community. Communication skills in writing, public speaking and helping people or groups to better understand inclusion in sport with different activities. Passionate and motivated, with the ability to work independently and be resourceful while working without always being told what to do. Ability to connect with grassroots sporting clubs. Ability to connect with teachers, school leadership and other school staff. Ability to plan your trips and travel around the local community, including to different schools and sporting clubs, centres, grounds or programmes. Organised and able to manage administration tasks, and have technology skills including setting meetings, email, phone calls, recording data. Understanding and ability to use computer programmes to collect and keep data on S4A connections and inclusive sports opportunities within the community. Able to manage your time, to rank tasks in order of importance and complete all other responsibilities while also continuing to keep communication connections with schools, sports clubs, organisations, and any people or groups who have an interest or connection to S4A. Due to the nature of the role and the sport industry, the role may require some work outside ordinary work hours, including evenings and weekends to attend meetings and events. Holds or ability to hold, and maintain a satisfactory National Police Criminal History Check prior to appointment – no older than 6 months (must be provided by candidate prior to commencing in role).
