North Shore Radiology & Nuclear Medicine – St Leonards Park NSW • St Leonards location, close to train station North Shore Radiology and Nuclear Medicine (NSRNM) is seeking a full-time Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our growing Nursing team. This newly created role is designed to enhance patient flow, support our radiographers and nurses, and contribute directly to an excellent patient experience across our CT, Mammography, MRI and Nuclear Medicine services. About the Role As an AIN at NSRNM, you will provide essential non-clinical and basic clinical support to help our scanners run efficiently and ensure patients receive timely, compassionate care. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Supporting CT Workflow Escorting patients from reception Assisting patients with changing and preparation Taking basic histories where appropriate Assisting the registered nurse with CTCA preparation Helping maintain smooth throughput across two CT scanners Supporting Mammography & Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM) Assisting with patient preparation Cannulating patients for CEM Improving Department Flexibility Providing backfill and support across the nursing team when staff are on leave Offering basic support to Nuclear Medicine services Assisting with safe patient movement Supporting clinical staff to stay at the console or in procedure rooms Helping maintain schedules and reducing bottlenecks in the department About You Empathetic, patient-focused, and able to make patients feel at ease Organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities A strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment Proactive—you notice what needs doing and step in before being asked Certificate III (or working toward) in Health Services Assistance or equivalent Cannulation competency Valid Working with Children’s Check Highly Regarded Experience working in a hospital or medical imaging environment Previous AIN or patient care experience Why Join Us?
