About the role The Operations Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the continued professional supply of bus services in connection with our Pt Hedland depot. Bus and staffing movements are integral to our operations by providing scheduled on time bus services in a safe and professional manner, always representing ATG (Australian Transit Group) with the utmost integrity and professionalism. This role is an integral part of ATG’s Regional Town Bus Service (RTBS) requiring an eye for detail, interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to manage risks and eliminate potential safety issues. The Operations Supervisor is also required to undertake driving duties on a daily basis. Tasks include but not limited to: Operations & Compliance Schedule daily vehicle/driver allocations and manage fatigue and safety requirements. Conduct BAC/drug testing and driver VOC assessments. Maintain records, update allocation/reporting systems, and supervise staff. Liaise with Operations Manager, clients, and workshop teams. Ensure safety compliance and report incidents, hazards, and breaches. Maintain current licences and follow all company/site rules. Build strong relationships with staff and client representatives. Provide transparent performance feedback to the Operations Manager. Assist with client requests and maintain confidentiality. Driving Duties Operate bus services safely and complete all required checks. Report defects, incidents, behaviour issues, and hazards. Keep buses clean, lodge lost property, and treat passengers respectfully. Complete timesheets and follow all policies and WHS requirements. Qualifications Current relevant driver’s licence for vehicle operations. Working With Children Check. Skills & Experience Safe operation of all ATG vehicles. Supervisory or mine-site experience (preferred). Basic mechanical knowledge. Strong communication, problem-solving, and computer skills. Able to work independently and guide staff performance.
