About the Job The Research Governance Manager will work at Orygen and ensure the smooth operation and coordination of research governance for the Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS). Reporting To Oversee and manage research governance applications, approvals, and agreements for PYMHWS and Orygen. Provide expert advice on research governance requirements and support the development of research policies, procedures, and standard operating practices. Develop and maintain efficient systems and databases to track research projects, approvals, amendments, and reporting. Coordinate research governance meetings, reporting, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. Build strong relationships with Orygen, university, and health service research offices to ensure high-quality, compliant research governance processes. Skills and Experience Tertiary qualifications in health sciences, psychology, research administration, or a related field with subsequent relevant experience; or experience and expertise or knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Proven experience in research governance, ethics, and regulatory compliance, with strong project management, organisational and administrative skills. Demonstrated experience in a research management role or equivalent in a university, research institute or public hospital. Highly proficient in research systems and Microsoft 365, with excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in complex environments. In-depth knowledge of national and international research ethics frameworks, including the National Statement and GCP. Salary & Benefits $125,000 - $135,000 pro rata commensurate with skills and experience + 12% superannuation and $15,900 in NFP salary packaging + $2,600 meals and entertainment card.
