Experienced Service Crew Member Opportunities FMR Investments is a privately owned company specialising in the mining and mining-related sectors, with a strong emphasis on residential and community-based operations. We support permanent, full-time employment based locally in the Goldfields region of Western Australia. Position Summary FMR Investments is seeking multiple residential Service Crew Members based at our Gordon Sirdar Gold Mine approximately 55km north-east of Kalgoorlie (NO FIFO). The position operates on a 6:1, 6:8 roster, rotating between 10.5hr day and night shifts. Role Duties & Responsibilities As a Service Crew Member at Gordon Sirdar, you’ll play a key role in installing, maintaining and relocating essential services that keep the mine running safely and efficiently. From ventilation and dewatering to power, air and communications, you’ll support both development and production teams by ensuring all services are in place, operational and compliant with site standards. This is a hands‑on, physically demanding role suited to someone with a strong safety focus, practical skills and a proactive, team‑oriented mindset. Key Responsibilities Install and maintain ventilation controls (vent bags, doors, fans, stoppings). Set up, relocate and maintain dewatering systems and sumps. Install compressed air, water lines and communication/electrical cables. Prepare headings with services, ground support and barricades. Operate underground light vehicles to transport tools and materials. Conduct basic servicing of pumps, fans, valves and service equipment. Maintain clean, safe work areas and complete required reporting. Follow all site safety, environmental and isolation procedures. Key Requirements Must reside locally in the Goldfields region (no FIFO available). Manual C Class Driver’s Licence. A can‑do, team‑oriented attitude, solid problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable. Previous underground mining experience (1–2 years preferred). Physically fit for manual handling and harsh underground conditions. Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights. Knowledge of underground safety standards and procedures. Previous experience operating haul trucks in a mining or quarry environment. Exposure to different types of mobile plant (dozer, L120 Volvo loader, water cart). Familiarity with site‑specific safety standards and environmental policies. Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery. HR licence or above. Basic mechanical or hydraulic aptitude. High Risk Work Licences (dogging, working at heights, confined space). First Aid or Emergency Response training. Conditions of Employment Must have full legal rights to work in Australia and the ability to pass a National Police Clearance and fitness to work medical including drug and alcohol screening.
