What you'll be doing The purpose of the position is to provide medical care and support, as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, that is consistent with the level of clinical competency and experience of the appointed trainee. This includes the assessment and management of patients across several clinical departments under the supervision of senior practitioners whilst developing broad skills in clinical decision making and practice. Selection Criteria Qualifications and experience commensurate for the role and previous experience in a medical department relevant to the position Demonstrated ability to work independently in a supervised environment Adept ability to work effectively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team with an understanding of the roles of the doctor and other members of the healthcare team Adept written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, family members and other members of the health care team Adept good organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self‑education Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases This is a Category 'A' position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD_015.
