Bring your good-natured pet along to visit a dog-loving senior in care. During your visit, you'll walk your dog through the care home to greet residents, then sit together for a relaxed chat, cuddles, and plenty of pats. You'll quickly see the joy and comfort your furry friend can bring. If you're a dog lover looking for a heartfelt way to give back, this is a wonderful chance to volunteer with your pet and brighten someone's day one wagging tail at a time. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is a provider of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare.
