PRIMARY DETAIL Position open to current undergraduate or postgraduate students in the Faculty of Science and Engineering. THE ROLE The Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) is seeking motivated, positive and engaged student ambassadors to join our Student Experience Team in Educational Services. This casual role supports a variety of straight‑forward administrative, logistical, event coordination and promotional activities aligned with science and engineering. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with the set up, pack, and delivery of student experience events and associated logistics. Provide general information, advice and assistance to students, parents and other stakeholders at events relating to studying in the faculty. Participate in campus tours, guiding participants around campus and support interactive program activities and information sessions. Provide straightforward administrative support for student experience activities, including data collection and more complex administration under supervision. Participate in social media activities such as appearing in promotional videos and photographs to promote the faculty. In your cover letter, also indicate your availability for key team dates in 2026. Incomplete applications will not be considered. ELIGIBILITY Currently studying as an undergraduate or postgraduate student in the Faculty of Science and Engineering with satisfactory academic standing (minimum 40 credit points and a weighted average mark of 65 or above). Minimum of one year of study remaining to complete your degree. Available for all required team recruitment, training and event dates. Hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children Check (paid employee type) following a formal offer. SELECTION CRITERIA Essential Under direction, ability to undertake a variety of administrative tasks with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel). Demonstrated capacity for and/or alignment with the university purpose, vision and values. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with a broad range of stakeholders. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver tasks within timeframes. Ability to work both as part of a team and independently depending on task requirements. Awareness of the Faculty of Science and Engineering programmes, including extra‑curricular activities and student opportunities. Available to undertake light to moderate physical tasks, including handling boxes of approximately 10 kg on a regular basis. Desirable Experience with social media, presenting, communicating to groups or customer‑facing work. Involvement in a range of extra‑curricular activities at university (e.g., student groups, sport, PAL, PACE or mentoring). TRAINING WHS awareness and manual handling. Introduction to academic, extra‑curricular activities and support structures for students and event training. Basic social media content creation.
