The Role: The Sustainability Advisor will lead and support initiatives that enhance environmental performance, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and deliver measurable sustainability outcomes across projects and the Ace business. The role will be reporting to Ace’s Compliance Manager and will be working closely and collaboratively with project teams. Key responsibilities include: Embedding sustainability and social procurement requirements into construction processes, procurement, and QA/QC systems. Leading sustainability and social procurement initiatives on projects and in the Ace office (e.g., waste diversion, carbon reduction, water reuse, biodiversity). Managing sustainability and social procurement certifications (Green Star, IS Rating, NABERS) and client reporting. Collecting and validating sustainability and social procurement data (waste, energy, water, materials) and preparing dashboards/reports. Coordinating sustainability and social procurement work packages, schedules, and stakeholder engagement across project teams. Supporting tenders and bids with sustainability and social procurement methodologies and cost–benefit analyses. Working with projects teams to establish, monitor and deliver sustainability and social procurement requirements. To be considered for this role you will need to have the following: Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in delivering sustainability and social procurement outcomes on construction projects (buildings or civil/infrastructure). Strong understanding of carbon accounting, waste/resource management, and environmental compliance. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills for site teams and clients. Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate work packages, and deliver on time and budget. Knowledge of Australian frameworks: Green Star, IS Rating, NABERS, and ISO 14001/45001 systems is desired. Why work with us? At ACE, it’s our people that make the difference.
