Senior Business Development Manager – Renewable Energy (Australia) A rapidly growing renewable energy developer is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager to play a key role in shaping the company’s growth strategy across solar, wind, and battery storage projects . This is a high-impact position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, opportunity-driven environment and enjoys seeing projects progress from concept to investment decision. Why this role matters You’ll be at the forefront of the company’s expansion plans, supporting both new project origination and strategic investment initiatives . Working closely with the leadership team, you’ll help identify opportunities, assess feasibility, and support commercial decisions that drive the business forward. Your input will directly influence the pipeline of large-scale renewable projects across Australia. What you’ll do Source and evaluate new business opportunities, including early-stage projects and potential acquisitions Help guide opportunities through feasibility, commercial assessment, and investment decision-making Collaborate with internal teams – technical, finance, legal – to ensure opportunities are thoroughly evaluated Support negotiations for project agreements, including land access, grid connection, and commercial contracts Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders, including regulators, investors, communities, and industry partners Track progress and outcomes, ensuring projects align with strategic objectives and deliverable milestones Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues What success looks like Identifying opportunities that fit the company’s growth goals Helping projects progress from origination to investment-ready status Supporting well-structured commercial and technical evaluations that maximise value Building strong, trusted relationships across the industry Who we’re looking for Proven experience in renewable energy business development, project origination, or development management Strong commercial judgement and negotiation skills Comfortable engaging across technical, legal, and financial teams Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment with multiple competing priorities Why you’ll love this role This is a chance to join a developer with an expansive and growing pipeline , work across large-scale solar, wind, and BESS projects , and play a pivotal role in shaping the business strategy and growth.
