Build a brighter future today by mentoring a young person. Raise empowers young minds through early‑intervention mentoring, equipping them with lifelong skills. Volunteer mentors receive training and are matched with a mentee, becoming key to transforming their lives. Minimum Requirements Over 21 years of age (or 20 if studying in a relevant field) Commit to volunteering up to 2 hours per week for the duration of the program (up to 20 weeks) Available on the same day and time each week, excluding school holidays Complete compulsory training and provide (or apply for) a National Police Check and Working with Children Check Understand that this is an unpaid role Schools in Ryde Epping Boys High School Marsden High School Ryde Secondary College Training Free training includes 8 online modules (≈4 hours of self‑paced learning) and a facilitated group mentor training session. Category Mentoring & Advocacy Commitment Regular – more than 6 months Type of Work Companionship & Social Support Time Required The mentoring position requires volunteers to set aside up to 2 hours per week for the duration of the program. In‑school programmes run for 20 weeks from April to September, excluding school holidays. The specific day and time are consistent throughout the programme and are determined by the school you mentor in.
