About the Role As a Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for running and maintaining production machinery, ensuring quality and safety standards, and collaborating with your team to keep the line running efficiently. You'll be involved in changeovers, troubleshooting, quality checks, and supporting new product launches. Candidates must have experience operating food processing equipment in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Operate and maintain production machinery safely and efficiently. Perform line start-ups, changeovers, tool changes, and troubleshooting. Conduct quality, CCP, and safety checks to meet The Kitchenary standards. Follow SOPs, work instructions, MES systems, and auto-coding procedures. Ensure GMP standards, correct manual handling, and PPE compliance. Monitor machine performance, record production data, and report issues. Support training and mentoring (buddy system) for new or less experienced team members. Collaborate with R&D, QA, preparation, and stock teams to maintain smooth production flow. Maintain accurate traceability records for WIP, packaging, and finished goods. Attend classroom and sensory training sessions to stay up to date with products and processes. Contribute to continuous improvement, including risk assessments, process optimisation, and waste reduction. What We're Looking For 1–5 years' experience in FMCG or food manufacturing. Minimum of 1 year machine operation experience is required. Hands‑on experience operating machinery, including safety start‑ups and changeovers. Knowledge of quality and compliance checks (metal, weight, gas, seal) and GMP standards. Ability to read SOPs and work instructions and use MES or other production systems. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and proactive problem‑solving. Willingness to train on new processes, recipes, or tools as required. Australian work rights are required for this position.
