We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Structures or Avionics) to join our team in Cairns, QLD . If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard. Your role In This Role, Your Key Responsibilities Will Include Dismantling, inspecting, testing, repairing and reassembling aircraft engines, ancillary components, accessories, and electrical systems; Conducting routine pre‑flight checks and inspections of engines and equipment; Maintaining thorough records of actions taken; Assembling components, parts and sub‑assemblies of aircraft engines and equipment; Testing, maintaining, replacing, and upgrading aircraft safety equipment. Shifts will be primarily Monday to Friday day shifts, with some possible early/late & night shifts. The essential requirements 2+ years experience on Dash 8 Q200, Q300 and Q400 aircraft (or similar type, e.g. turboprop aircraft); Trade Certificate IV (Mechanical), (Structures) or (Avionics); Highly skilled and competent in aircraft mechanical system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components. Strong team player; Ability to follow supervisory direction; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Consistent positive and proactive attitude; Passion for safe work practices; Valid work visa; Red ASIC card (or ability to obtain); Current Australian Driver's licence. Additional Qualifications We are specifically looking for candidates capable of committing to flexible working arrangements; further, please ensure that you are available to work in Cairns before applying.
