Join Modus Transport and Traffic Engineering as an Undergraduate Traffic Engineer intern in Brisbane, assisting on diverse projects and expanding technical skills. Your Role Key responsibilities include: Assisting in the delivery of Traffic Engineering Services on Commercial, Residential, and Industrial projects across the SEQ region Implementing and expanding technical capabilities in car parking layouts and driveway design Conducting intersection operational assessments using SIDRA Intersection Analysis Gaining exposure to National Standards and Guidelines such as Australian Standards and Austroads Guidelines Ensuring compliance with Local and State Government regulations, including Brisbane City Council City Plan requirements Preparing technical reports and performing AutoCAD work About You The company is looking for: A University Student who has completed at least two years of a Civil Engineering degree Australian working rights Availability to work a minimum of 1–2 days per week in-office (no WFH) A strong passion for Traffic Engineering Ability to commence the internship in January 2026 Compensation & Benefits Dynamic and diverse team environment fostering open communication and inclusivity One-on-one mentoring to develop technical knowledge and problem-solving skills Provision of a laptop for internship duties Office located in WeWork Brisbane CBD with free barista-made coffee and on-site facilities Sign off/certification for a minimum of 30 days to fulfill Engineering Professional Practice requirements Opportunity to transition to a paid part-time Student Engineer position after internship completion Training & Development One-on-one mentoring to help implement and expand technical knowledge and problem-solving skills Career Progression Opportunity to transition to a paid part-time Student Engineer role following the internship How to Apply Submit your resume and cover letter.
