Security Officer - North Queensland; Cairns, Townsville and Mackay Location: Various locations across North Queensland; Cairns, Townsville and Mackay Wilson Security is the leading provider of security services across Australia and New Zealand, committed to becoming Australasia’s leading provider of integrated Security Solutions. Role Overview: Casual, Part Time and Full Time opportunities available. Security licence holders new to the industry welcome to apply. Weekday and weekend shifts available – 4‑12 hour shifts. Potential earnings up to $110,000 per annum subject to availability, hours worked, classification and other factors. Level 2 security level. The expansion in North Queensland has created new positions focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our teams and clients. These roles will support our Operations Team and Duty Managers in response operations, handling events such as protests and emergency management, across multiple locations. Duties & Responsibilities: Provide strong customer‑service solutions to visitors, contractors and clients. Proactively monitor CCTV and access‑control systems. Conduct building patrols to actively report and mitigate security and safety risks. Identify and report hazards and building faults for rectification. Support tenants and facilities. Manage contractors and deliveries through dock management. Respond to emergency situations. Qualifications: Strong customer‑service skills. Proactive and problem‑solving mindset. Willing to support and step up into other roles as required. Ability to work well in a team or autonomously. Availability to work a rotational roster (nights, days, weekends). Australian citizenship or unlimited work rights. Previous experience in corporate real‑estate contracts is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to prepare and write reports. Proficiency with computers and security‑related systems (access control, CCTV, Microsoft programs). Availability to and physical fitness to walk and stand for long periods. Valid QLD Security Licence (including monitoring subclass). Crowd control endorsement highly desirable. Current First Aid & CPR Certificate. Benefits: Comprehensive training and development.
