Position Overview Reporting to the National Service Delivery Manager, the National Pallet Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of our national pallet network. This role goes beyond day‑to‑day pallet control—it drives the commercial, governance and operational frameworks that ensure pallets are managed efficiently, cost‑effectively and in line with customer and provider contract requirements. You will oversee the national Pallets Team, partner closely with Depot and Operational Leaders across the country, and provide leadership that strengthens process discipline, supports continuous improvement, and minimises commercial risk. Locations: Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne offices. Key Responsibilities Ensure accurate national pallet tracking, reconciliation and compliance with Chep, Loscam and 2IC requirements. Analyse pallet balances, identify trends and highlight commercial or operational risks. Provide training and support to depots to strengthen pallet processes and capability. Manage pallet transfers, rejections and IOU balances to minimise exposure and maintain strong controls. Lead weekly stocktakes and deliver clear KPI, monthly and annual reporting. Oversee national stocktakes and ensure accuracy across all sites. Manage pallet de‑hiring, issuing and utilisation in line with contractual expectations. Build strong working relationships with depot managers to influence consistent processes and uplift standards. Stay updated on system changes and ensure national alignment in pallet management practices. What You’ll Bring Proven experience in leading a pallet management function in a complex network environment, ideally in transport, logistics or similar operational industry. High‑level communication and influencing skills with the ability to work collaboratively with depot managers, operational leaders and key service delivery stakeholders. Strong commercial acumen, including the ability to interpret contracts, understand commercial exposure, and influence cost‑reducing outcomes. Strong governance and risk management capability with an eye for accuracy and compliance. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving ability, with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes.
