APAC Legal Counsel

We’ve been recognised for the contribution we make and for our initiatives to streamline processes and to provide commercial legal support to this fast-paced and innovative organisation.The roleYou will act as a legal counsel covering GBG’s APAC region, providing advice on commercial contracts, new partners, products, services & jurisdictions, reporting into our APAC Principal Legal CounselWhat you will doNegotiating high-value, complex, and often multi-jurisdictional contracts with GBG’s APAC customers, partners, and suppliersProviding pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice on contractual matters, general corporate matters, new products, services, technology, and entry into new APAC marketsBuilding deep business partnering relationships with a broad group of GBG team members in multiple countriesWorking collaboratively with your Global Privacy, Legal, Risk, and Regulation team members to ensure that your legal advice appropriately reflects regulatory requirements and GBG’s risk appetiteMonitoring and tracking new legal and regulatory risks in the APAC regionSeeking advice from external counsel (if necessary)A lawyer (4+ Years post qualification) with prior experience advising on APAC cross-border issuesCommercial contracts and privacy expertise, preferably gained in a technology or data-centric business in the APAC regionA lawyer with a private practice background moving in-houseAbility to spot key risks, analyse and assess risk, and provide actionable recommendationsWork autonomously and collaboratively, excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levelsBehaviours we'd like to seeWe have a vision to have the best and most engaged team members in the industry.
