Programme Highlights Teachers specialise in meeting the needs and improving outcomes for middle‑years students, working in a house across year levels. Leadership opportunities are available for Year 9 students. The college offers targeted literacy intervention, academic advancement programmes, civics and citizenship, arts and technologies, and strong links with feeder primary schools and the Wodonga Senior Secondary College. Expanded curriculum offerings include strong academic studies in all Victorian Curriculum areas, including classroom and instrumental music, as well as Indonesian language. Selection Criteria Suitable experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions and programmes that support students with identified communication needs. Knowledge and experience in administering standardised assessments relevant to students. Capacity to collaborate and work within a multidisciplinary team delivering speech pathology services. Ability to communicate effectively with families, caregivers, staff, and other professionals on service delivery and student issues. Assessment, conceptualisation and analysis of student communication issues, academic and social profiles to provide speech pathology services within professional guidelines. High‑level communication, networking and interpersonal skills to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders. Demonstrated understanding and commitment to the structure and programmes offered at Wodonga Middle Years College. Role The speech pathologist provides individual support to evaluate, design, deliver, and monitor communication strategies for students identified as needing support. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, the role supports communication across varied contexts with high autonomy and minimal supervision. Responsibilities include development and implementation of professional support programmes, guidance to other staff, and contribution to the college’s educational services without teaching duties. Responsibilities Provide speech pathology supports including screening, assessment, programme development, intervention monitoring, and review in line with legislative, professional and ethical requirements. Establish and maintain person‑centred, family‑friendly support services to improve student communication and learning. Work with other professionals to undertake advanced speech pathology supports and inclusion interventions.
