This could range from a one-off harm reduction session, right through to long-term case management. The successful candidate will also be responsible for contributing to a world-class harm reduction program. This role is aligned to the Leading Self proficiency level within the framework, reflecting the responsibility to demonstrate professionalism, personal accountability, self-awareness, and continuous development. This is a permanent part-time 0.6FTE role based at Southbank, open to external and internal candidates. What you'll be doing: Supporting a self‑determined caseload of voluntary clients to identify and achieve AoD related goals. Completing AoD screening/assessment tools and supporting clients in accessing residential and community‑based support services. Developing Individual Treatment Plans (ITP's) collaboratively with clients. Supporting complex clients through the life of their treatment plan. Providing harm‑reduction based information sessions to at risk clients. Providing education and training sessions to staff of Launch Housing. Providing secondary consults to Launch Housing staff and other external agencies. Contributing to the ongoing operation of a (secondary) NSP, and a world‑class harm‑reduction program. What we're looking for (key selection criteria) Have a relevant tertiary qualification which meets the minimum standard qualifications to work in the AOD Sector (eg. Certificate IV in AOD or AOD competencies) or a willingness to obtain these qualifications. Demonstrated experience in client facing human services, social work or other relevant discipline, with a preference for an understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems. An understanding of AOD treatments and interventions, including knowledge of the different types of public AOD services available. An understanding of AOD theories, including harm minimisation and problematic substance combinations. An understanding of trauma‑informed practice and the individual and structural relationships between trauma, substance dependence, and homelessness. High degree of initiative, communication, and analytical skills, including well‑developed organisational and time‑management skills. Experience or training in facilitating group work (desirable). Full Victorian Drivers Licence (mandatory). Understanding of, or a demonstrated commitment to upholding, Child Safe Standards in the workplace. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
