The opportunity The firm seeks a conveyancing professional to manage a steady, high-quality residential property caseload on a part‑time basis. This role would suit an experienced conveyancer, Victorian Licensed Conveyancer or Property Solicitor capable of running matters end‑to‑end with minimal supervision, providing attentive client service while maintaining rigorous risk and compliance standards. Key responsibilities Manage a file load of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to settlement, including freehold/ strata sales and purchases, off‑the‑plan/ new‑build, transfers of land/ equity, related‑party and refinance matters. Prepare, review and negotiate contracts of sale and vendor statements (Section 32), order and review searches (titles, certificates, planning, rates), raise and respond to requisitions/ enquiries. Conduct title due diligence, verify identity (VOI), manage source of funds/ wealth enquiries and AML/CTF requirements. Prepare statements/ adjustments and settlement figures; handle duties (State Revenue Office Victoria) and submission via Duties Online; complete post‑settlement lodgements via Land Registry (Land Use Victoria) portals/Landata. Transact electronically through PEXA, including workspace management, invitations, source account, signing, settlement, and dealing with mortgagee/ lender requirements. Liaise with clients, agents, brokers, lenders and counterpart representatives; provide timely updates and adhere to service levels. Maintain file management, precedents and checklists within LEAP; utilise InfoTrack integrations for searches and e‑signing. Contribute to risk management, trust accounting compliance (as applicable), and workflow/process improvement. Required qualifications and experience Victorian Licensed Conveyancer holding a current licence; or Australian Legal Practitioner admitted in Victoria with demonstrated conveyancing experience; or Experienced Conveyancer (unlicensed) working under appropriate supervision and within regulatory requirements. Proven ability to run Victorian residential conveyancing files independently, including PEXA settlements and post‑settlement lodgements. Proficiency with LEAP, PEXA and InfoTrack; familiarity with Land Use Victoria/ Land Registry and Landata portals; confident with Duties Online/ SRO processes. Strong grasp of VOI, AML/CTF, trust accounting principles (where relevant), lender panel requirements and professional conduct obligations. Excellent communication, attention to detail and time management; client‑centric approach. Experience with off‑the‑plan, subdivisions, caveats, survivorship applications, deceased estate sales or commercial conveyancing. Experience in a quality‑assured environment and use of automated workflows/ templates in LEAP. Capacity to supervise an assistant or collaborate within a small team on part‑day handovers.
