Location: St Marys (2760) (relocating to Glendenning from March 2026) Employment Type: Full-time Are you a procurement professional who thrives on strategy, performance, and impact ? At Steel Builders , we're looking for a driven Senior Procurement Officer to take charge of our procurement function—optimising supply chains, driving cost efficiencies, and delivering results that fuel our operations and long-term growth. You’ll play a key role in shaping our sourcing strategy, improving supplier performance, and ensuring our inventory and logistics operations run like clockwork. What You'll Be Responsible For: Supplier & Contract Management: Build and lead supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service and sustainability standards Strategic Sourcing: Develop sourcing strategies that align with business goals and deliver measurable cost savings Inventory & Logistics Oversight: Manage inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and ensure seamless importing and delivery operations Process & Technology Improvements: Leverage procurement systems and data to streamline processes and enhance reporting and forecasting Compliance & Reporting: Monitor procurement KPIs, manage budgets, and ensure alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements What You'll Bring: Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or contract management in a fast-paced or industrial environment Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering cost savings, risk mitigation, and supply continuity Deep experience in inventory control, logistics, and importing , especially in a manufacturing or construction setting Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills Proficiency with ERP systems, procurement software, and data analytics tools A safety-first, sustainability-conscious mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvements Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is advantageous Why Join Steel Builders?
