Summary: A primary care health practice in Taree, NSW, serving the population of Taree and surrounds and providing primary healthcare services, including: diagnosis, treatment, follow up, primary care, preventive medicine, travel medicine, immunisations, and other services An opportunity to work at a regional practice with very little competition, with an ever increasing patient base and an always busy waiting room Attractive % on offer at this well established mixed billing practice About the role A typical candidate would be responsible for: 1- Examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. 2- Follow up on patient treatment, condition, and patient's progress with other health care providers. 3- Requesting, reviewing, and interpreting diagnostic tests, including radiology, pathology, and assessing and amending treatment plans accordingly. 4- Referring patients to emergency departments, hospitals, medical specialists, and allied health practitioners as necessary and following up on the treatments provided. 5- Monitoring patient's condition, progress, responses to treatment, and providing individual care plans as needed. 6- Advising patients on lifestyle choices, such as diet, exercise, and other as needed for the patients' well being. 7- Admissions to hospitals when needed Benefits and perks Visa sponsorship (482 Visa) and all the obligations mandated per legislation (Only if required, candidates with Australian Citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency, or Temporary Residents with unlimited work rights are preferred) Attractive% of billing totals of all billings performed by the practitioner (including Medicare billings, private health insurance billings, out of pocket, DVA) Skills and experience Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (or equivalent) is required Holder of Applicable Registration with the AHPRA to practice 5+ Years of Experience in a clinical setting in General Practice or a hospital setting (ED, ICU, or RMO) is required (Australian experience as a Medical Practitioner is preferred)
