About the Role At Aptella , we believe that innovation thrives when it’s driven by diverse perspectives. We’re currently looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in Balcatta on a full-time, permanent basis. What You’ll Be Doing Install machine control systems and equipment (onsite and in the workshop) Calibrate and commission machine systems and attachments Diagnose issues and provide technical support and troubleshooting Service and maintain systems to ensure peak performance Train customers to get the most out of their equipment This role offers autonomy, variety, and the chance to work with emerging technology in a supportive and collaborative environment. What We’re Looking For We understand that great technicians come from a variety of paths. If you don’t meet every requirement but are keen to learn and passionate about what we do, we’d love to hear from you. A trade qualification as an Auto Electrician, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, or Light Vehicle Mechanic is highly regarded, but not essential A strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to problem-solve and adapt Confidence in working with electrical and hydraulic systems Good communication and organisation skills to engage effectively with customers and teammates A proactive mindset with a focus on safety, quality, and outcomes Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn new software Ability to work independently with support when you need it Nice to Have (But Not Required) Experience with heavy equipment repairs (mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic) Exposure to mobile plant or machine control systems An understanding of surveying techniques and technologies A keen interest in technology and innovation Required A current Australian Driver’s Licence (car) We’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported.
