Overview Role: Centre Cook Location: Tannum Sands, Gladstone Region QLD, home of the Bailai, Gurang, Gooreng Gooreng and Taribelang Bunda Peoples Centre: Goodstart Tannum Sands Employment Type: Part Time - 12 hours per week (6 hours daily Thursday and Friday) Pay: up to $32.43 per hour + Superannuation + Benefits Responsibilities Delight little customers with big appetites – provide delicious meals and influence the nutritional outcomes of Australian children As a Cook at Goodstart, create delicious, healthy meals that fuel young minds and bodies, becoming a cherished part of the community Ensure the safety of children by preparing meals that account for special dietary requirements and allergies Use creativity and organisational skills to plan the menu and order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director Maintain high standards of food safety by ensuring all storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks is hygienic Work a part time roster of 12 hours per week (6 hours daily Thursday and Friday only); no night shifts, no split shifts and no weekend work About Goodstart Tannum Sands Small, 74 place, four-room boutique centre with a diverse, multi-age staff and a supportive culture. The centre is well-regarded within the local community and is located minutes from the beach or river. Long-serving staff have been with the centre for 6 to 24 years.
