Are you an experienced technicianwith a passion for troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment? We’re seekinga skilled Field Service Technician to join our client's team. If you have experience inmechanical, electrical, or diesel fields and enjoy a role that combines phonesupport, field service, and technical troubleshooting, this is the opportunityfor you. Competitive Pay: $50 per hour + Super, plusvehicle, tech, penalties, and overtime (approx. 10 hrs per week). Travel Flexibility: Enjoy the flexibility ofovernight travel when required. Variety: A mix of phone support, field breakdownrepairs, and troubleshooting, offering plenty of challenges and growth. Full Package: Vehicle provided, along with allnecessary tools and technology to perform your role effectively. Overtime: Additional earnings with 10 hours ofovertime per week. Key Responsibilities Phone Support: Provide service-related assistance via phone to technicians and customers. Field Breakdown Repairs: Attend breakdowns in thefield and repair equipment in a timely manner. Service Reporting: Complete and submit detailedservice reports upon repair completion. Feedback: Provide feedback on component failures to improve future processes. Training: Train distributors on commissioning thefirst new product. Warranty Troubleshooting: Analyse and resolvewarranty issues that go beyond the scope of distributors or customers. Collaboration: Work with MCG-based personnel onservice materials, product requirements, and code compliance. Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve customerreports of technical problems, analysing trends and recommendingmodifications to prevent future issues. Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform other responsibilities asassigned. What We’re Looking For Experience: At least 5 years in technical serviceand support, preferably in the heavy equipment industry. Specialised Skills: OEM or dealer experience inheavy equipment maintenance is an advantage. Qualifications: Trade certificate in Mechanical,Electrical, or Diesel mechanics, with advanced skills in automotive andCanbus electrical diagnostics. Technical Expertise: Strong fault-finding anddiagnostic skills in electrical, hydraulic, engine, drive-line, braking,and general maintenance/repair of heavy equipment. Schematics: Ability to read and work withelectronic and hydraulic schematics. Flexibility: Willingness to travel overnight whenrequired, with a flexible attitude to work demands. Problem Solving: Ability to analyse technicalproblems and provide recommendations to improve future operations.
