NSW | Estimator (Sydney Metro) About Us Bay Building Group is a market leader when it comes to insurance building in Australia. Operating nationally, for 35+ years we have specialised in repairs to domestic and commercial properties damaged through insurable events such as fire, storm, flood, impact and malicious damage. For further information please go to: About The Role The Estimator's role involves carrying out the estimation for reinstatement works to both domestic and commercial buildings following small to large scale damage caused by insurable events. The role entails working closely with our NSW team based in Auburn, as well as customers, clients and partner trade network associated with Bay Building Group. This role is open to candidates based in either Sydney Metro or Central Coast. Tasks Include: Conducting site assessments to determine cause of damage, scope of works and costings Determining policy coverage in accordance with client agreements Write scope of works and associated reports to KPI deadline Liaising with client, customer and Claims Coordinators with any SOW or report related queries Liaising with internal teams to book in trade attendances (subcontractors and/or specialists) Maintaining an awareness of SLA (service level agreement) and KPIs Conduct risk assessments on the potential high risk and hazardous components of each project Key Professional Skills and Qualifications Desktop /VE/On-road experience Face to face customer service Communication skills and ability to set expectations Organisational abilities to liaise on multiple files at any one time Multi-tasking with the ability to triage and prioritise accordingly Attention to detail Knowledge of building regulations and Australian codes and standards Construction knowledge including processes and pricing Intermediate computer skills including MS applications KPI driven and task focused Software Knowledge: Xactimate is highly desirable Full Driving license is essential Why join us?
