About the opportunity Werribee Mercy Hospital has an exciting opportunity to an enthusiastic and motivated Health Information Services Clerk to join our friendly team. This role will provide guidance and support in the collection, use, and management of Health Information. The HIS Clerk will act as a key support to Werribee Mercy Hospital to ensure access to patient information. The role will involve: Preparing of paper documents relating to patient care. Scanning of patient information to ensure timely availability for patient care. Ordering of medical records from our offsite storage provider. Answering calls and responding to requests for patient information. Participating in quality assurance activities. What you’ll bring You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient‑centred care. To thrive in this role, you will have: Experience working as a Health Information Services Clerk. Thorough understanding of Health Information Services processes. Strong technical skills including well developed knowledge of patient administration systems. You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
