Position Profile We are seeking suitably experienced, motivated & innovative team members, with excellent interpersonal & organizational skills to join the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Pharmacy Services team. Roles and Responsibilities Regional Clinical Pharmacists assist in the promotion of safe, rational and cost effective drug therapy through the provision of clinical pharmacy services for hospital patients throughout the region. Services include but are not limited to completing the medication reconciliation process for admitted hospital patients, dispensing medications to patients, providing drug information to regional nursing and medical staff, and making independent decisions on therapeutic strategies to optimise patient care. The Senior Pharmacists are responsible for delivering safe, effective and high quality care through the provision of virtual clinical pharmacy services for patients throughout WACHS. Services include but are not limited to virtual pharmacy for inpatients at WACHS sites without on‑site pharmacist support, virtual training and upskilling of junior pharmacists in the regions, and pharmacist‑led virtual outpatient clinics in areas such as visiting specialists, pre‑admission, day infusions and palliative care. Eligibility & Conditions To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments). Other conditions: WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility. WA Health policies require applicants to undertake a criminal records screening and integrity checking as part of the appointment process. You may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre‑employment health assessment. We may ask referees to comment on your integrity and past demonstration of ethical behaviour. Please note that adverse information does not necessarily disqualify an applicant but will be considered as part of the appointment process. Please note this recruitment process requires completion of a satisfactory Pre‑Employment Health Assessment (PEHA). Any offer of employment with WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is conditional on satisfactory PEHA to ensure you are able to perform the inherent requirements of the position. Recruitment Pool Details This is an extended recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted: The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2026.
