Department: Operations / Food & Beverage / Gaming Reports To: Duty Manager / Operations Manager Employment Type: Full-Time or Part Time Position Summary The Supervisor plays a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of Hornsby RSL. This position is responsible for leading front-line staff, maintaining exceptional customer service standards, and supporting the Venue Manager with venue operations across bar, bistro, gaming, and general floor management. The ideal candidate will have at least 3–4 years’ experience in a hospitality leadership role , with strong people management, communication, and operational skills. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Supervise day-to-day venue operations across multiple departments including bar, bistro, gaming, and floor services. Ensure venue presentation, cleanliness, and service standards are consistently upheld. Assist in the smooth coordination of service during peak periods, functions, and special events. Respond swiftly and professionally to customer queries, concerns, and incidents. People Management Provide leadership, guidance, and support to front-line staff. Assist with onboarding, training, and coaching new and existing employees. Monitor staff performance and contribute to performance feedback. Support the Venue Manager in managing staff allocation and daily task delegation. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG), and all regulatory requirements. Oversee adherence to WHS procedures and support a safe working environment. Report incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues promptly and accurately. Customer Service Maintain a warm, professional, and welcoming environment for all members and guests. Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer experiences. Manage escalated customer issues professionally and effectively. Assist with stock control, cash handling, and monitoring wastage. Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and shift handovers. Support operational projects, promotions, and venue initiatives. Skills & Experience Required Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role within hospitality, clubs, or similar fast-paced environments. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated ability to remain calm under pressure. Sound understanding of RSA, RCG, WHS, and venue compliance requirements. Experience across bar, bistro, or gaming operations (preferred but not essential). High level of professionalism, reliability, and integrity.
