Staff Specialist – General Medicine – Calvary Health Care Located in Waratah, Newcastle, NSW, Australia and part of the Calvary Mater Newcastle hospital network. Employment Type: Fixed Term contract until June 2027. Salary Classification: Staff Specialist Level 1 in accordance with the Staff Specialist Private Practice Remuneration Levels. Responsibilities Provide clinical services for inpatients admitted under the general medicine service, and participate in the bed allocation process and management of transfer of care and patient flow according to patient need and the Hospital’s requirements. Provide specialist consultation within your field, including provision of outpatient services. Participate in after‑hours services and rosters in general medicine at CMN. Provide clinical leadership to junior colleagues by ensuring a high standard of patient care that conforms to best practice and is evidence based. Demonstrate a commitment to equity of health care delivery. Qualifications Holding AHRPA registration and an unrestricted Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
