The Opportunity As our full‑time Sailing Coach, you will deliver world‑class coaching programs while working from the waters that host international sailing events and welcome the Sydney to Hobart fleet each December. You’ll lead a dynamic team of instructors and summer casual staff, ensuring exceptional programme delivery across our comprehensive pathway from Tackers to high‑performance squad sailors. With dedicated administrative support, you’ll focus on what you do best – coaching, mentoring, and inspiring young sailors. What You’ll Do Deliver high‑quality coaching across all levels – from beginners in our Tackers program through to competitive squad sailors. Lead and mentor a team of sailing instructors and seasonal coaches. Design innovative programmes that grow participation and develop sailing skills. Represent RYCT at state and national events. Create pathways that nurture sailors from their first time on water to high‑performance competition. Build strong connections with sailors, families, and the broader sailing community. What You’ll Bring Australian Sailing Coach qualification. Proven experience coaching youth sailors in competitive club environments. Strong leadership skills with experience managing coaching teams. Current Working with Vulnerable People Check (Tas) and First Aid Certificate. Exceptional communication and programme delivery skills. Genuine passion for developing young sailors and growing the sport. Highly regarded: Advanced AS Coaching qualifications. Experience at state or national level events.
