Western Obstetrics is committed to making high-quality pregnancy care accessible to everyone by offering affordable services led by a team of GP Obstetricians, midwives, and allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, psychologists, and lactation consultants. Our midwifery-led model ensures continuity of care, with the same dedicated team supporting each patient throughout pregnancy and after birth. Due to growing demand, we are now looking to expand our midwifery services with a newly created 0.2 part time role, ideally working Thursday's. Offering a blend of professional clinical and administrative support this role will play an integral part of our allied health team, ensuring high quality, holistic care for patients. Key Duties & Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centred clinical care and consultation Conduct medical diagnostic activities in collaboration with GPO’s Assist with minor procedures undertaken by the GPO’s Safe Administration of medications as required under the direct and indirect supervision of a GPO or relevant legislative requirements Collaborate with the practice team, including specialists and administration staff, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care. Maintain accurate and compliant medical records Skills and Experience Current registration as a Midwife with AHPRA Clinical skills and motivation to ensure excellence in patient care and customer service Minimum of two years clinical setting experience preferred Current Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR certification Ability to perform venipuncture, specimen collection and CTG’s A commitment to safe practice and quality patient care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills We believe in personalised care, with regular screenings to identify and address any needs early.
