As a wardsperson you will be deployed across a 24/7 range of shifts throughout the hospital to provide non-clinical support to the nursing team including: patient lifting; patient transportation; restock supplies; collection & delivery of equipment & specimens. Responsibilities Safe transfer of patients to and from the operating theatre Provide safe effective patient handling and positioning. Maintaining a safe patient environment including the setup and cleaning of theatres during procedures Providing support to the nursing staff Authority to Work in Australia Prior experience in a hospital environment Prior experience in a similar role will be highly reagrded Certificate III in Health Support Services or equivalent (desirable) Hold a valid Working with Children check Commitment to service excellence Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision Ability to work in a fast paced environment High level attention to detail Able to work a 7- day rotating roster including Night shifts.
