We are seeking a Boarding House Supervisor to join our team in late January 2026, working across 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), during term time only. Blackwood House is a co-educational school boarding house for students aged 12-18. The Boarding House is run in the style of an extended family where the individual needs of each boarder can be met within the context of a community, based on the values and ethos of the School. Boarding House Supervisorsare members of a team lead by the Head of Boarding who carry out their duties and responsibilities in a spirit of co-operation and mutual support. They are directly responsible for the organisation of Blackwood House, and the care and supervision of boarders in accordance with the values, policies and procedures of the School. Professional Responsibilities Student Care and Supervision Provide pastoral care and support to boarders, ensuring their wellbeing and safety. Supervise daily routines, including meals, study times, and recreational activities. Maintain a positive and inclusive environment that reflects the School’s values. Respond to student needs promptly and appropriately. Desirable Criteria Experience working with adolescents in a residential or educational setting. First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Understanding of child protection and duty of care principles. Ability to work flexible hours.
