Recent and upcoming work includes high-profile assignments such as the War Memorial redevelopment, numerous hospitals, and theatres, spanning from master planning and business cases through to detailed documentation. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-regarded civil team working primarily on government projects, with a strong pipeline of work and real scope to shape the future of Canberra’s infrastructure. What You’ll Be Doing Leading the preparation and management of civil design and documentation packages, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery within budget Coordinating with clients, authorities (especially ACT Government agencies), stakeholders, and the wider design team to resolve design challenges and integrate civil infrastructure Preparing proposals, managing project costs, and overseeing delivery Applying technical knowledge to develop practical solutions for drains, stormwater, roads, pavements, retaining walls, water and sewer mains Building strong client relationships, particularly with government agencies, and growing your network Contributing to business growth and supporting the team through mentoring and leadership What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent CPEng accreditation or working towards it 5+ years’ civil engineering experience, ideally with ACT Government or local public sector exposure Experience designing and coordinating civil infrastructure including drains, stormwater, roads, pavements, retaining walls, and water/sewer mains Proficiency in Civil 3D, DRAINS and MUSIC Strong client-facing and project management skills, including proposal preparation and cost management Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Ready to take the next step in your civil engineering career?
