The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an alignment with the Society’s mission, vision and values. About the Role Manager, Property & Contracts Permanent Full-time The Manager, Property and Contracts provides leadership and strategic oversight of the Society’s asset portfolio, including property, fleet, and machinery. The role is responsible for the end-to-end management of the property portfolio—encompassing property management, maintenance, leasing, and capital works—ensuring all assets are safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose. Reporting to the Executive Manager Business Services and leading a dedicated team, this position also leads the Society’s procurement and contract management functions, with a focus on value-for-money outcomes, effective supplier relationships, and the mitigation of operational and commercial risk to support long-term organisational sustainability and service delivery. Your key responsibilities will include: Strategic property planning, acquisition, disposal and development Oversight of contracts, leases, and supplier agreements Management of refurbishments, fitouts, and preventative maintenance Oversight of fleet operations and administration Development and implementation of procurement strategies Ensuring compliance with risk, safety, and insurance requirements Leading and supporting the Property & Contracts team Budget management and cost optimisation for property and asset services There will be a requirement for metro and some regional travel as our services spans across the state. Some flexibility with working after business hours on occasion is also required. Your Experience and Attributes To be successful in this role, you’ll bring strong leadership and technical expertise, along with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to service excellence. You will have strong interpersonal skills to build healthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders through demonstrated ability to live to the Society’s values of commitment, compassion, respect, integrity, empathy, advocacy and courage. Furthermore, you will have: Proven experience (7–10 years) in senior property management, with the ability to work collaboratively with executive teams and contribute to strategic planning initiatives A track record of leading high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and negotiation skills Sound understanding of property legislation, compliance, and risk management Experience managing procurement processes and capital projects Excellent planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities A relevant tertiary qualification in property, law, business, project management or a related field Working for Vinnies WA At Vinnies WA, you’ll be part of an organisation where people matter - both the community we support and the teams that make it all possible.
