Position : Senior Trader Job Summary : As a Senior Trader, you will play a pivotal role in our trading operations, utilizing your expertise and experience to drive profitability and create value. Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement proven trading strategies to generate profitable trades and manage risk effectively. Lead a team of traders, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture. Stay updated with market trends and developments in the energy and iron ore sectors, leveraging this knowledge to identify trading opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, brokers, and other market participants to enhance trading capabilities. Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively present trading ideas, strategies, and performance reports to internal and external stakeholders. Monitor and analyze market data, economic indicators, and news events to make informed trading decisions. Collaborate with other teams, such as risk management and operations, to ensure seamless execution of trades and adherence to regulatory requirements. Qualifications and Requirements Minimum of 8 years of experience as a trader, preferably in energy and iron ore markets. Demonstrated success in developing and executing profitable trading strategies. Proven ability to build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex trading concepts and strategies clearly. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for identifying market opportunities and managing risks. Extensive knowledge of financial markets, trading instruments, and regulatory frameworks. Proficient in using trading platforms, market data analysis tools, and risk management systems. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field (advanced degrees are a plus).
