The opportunity As part of the Supportive Care division and reporting to the Cancer Support Services Manager you will provide evidence-based psychosocial care and support to individuals affected by cancer and their families. This includes assessing client needs and facilitating referrals to appropriate Cancer Council WA (CCWA) services and relevant community support networks. This role is integral to building awareness of CCWA services and maintaining CCWA's presence in the community. Based in Geraldton this position is a permanent part-time position across 3 days (0.6 FTE). What you’ll be doing Deliver and coordinate evidence-based psychosocial support programs in line with CCWA policies ensuring services remain responsive to the evolving needs of our clients. Play a key role in driving continuous quality improvement contributing to the development and successful rollout of new initiatives. Strengthen community awareness of CCWA and maintain a visible and positive presence across our service areas. Support the volunteer engagement and collaborate with the People and Culture team to recruit onboard and support volunteers in relevant service programs. Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external partners. Represent CCWA at community meetings sector events and relevant forums to advocate for our work and strengthen partnerships. About you Tertiary qualification in a health-related field (e.g. nursing allied health social work) with current registration with a nationally recognised professional body. 2 years experience in psychosocial assessment with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Sound knowledge and understanding of the needs of cancer patients and their communities. Awareness of cancer prevention screening risk factors and early detection (desirable). Strong interpersonal and communication skills with well-developed relationship management capabilities. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. High level of computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant databases. Demonstrated commitment to the values and mission of Cancer Council WA. Positive and proactive attitude in the workplace. Ability to provide (or willingness to obtain) a National Police Clearance. Current WA Drivers Licence.
