We’re seeking a Pizza Chef to join our opening culinary team. Reporting to the Senior Pizza Chef, you’ll play a key hands‑on role in producing consistently high‑quality, handcrafted pizzas using fresh, local ingredients. Start date: Early January. The Role You’ll support the Senior Pizza Chef in the day-to-day running of the pizza section, ensuring quality, consistency, and smooth service. Key Responsibilities Prepare hand‑stretched, high‑quality pizzas with attention to flavour and presentation. Assist with dough production, fermentation, portioning, and recipe execution. Follow guidance from the Senior Pizza Chef and Head Chef. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and section cleanliness. Assist in prepping ingredients and ensuring mise en place is ready for service. Contribute ideas for specials or menu improvements when invited. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and support training of junior staff when required. About You 2–3+ years' experience in a pizza-focused kitchen. Good understanding of dough development, fermentation, and baking techniques. Experience with wood‑fired or deck ovens. Ability to follow direction and execute consistently. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Excellent time management and reliability. Passion for artisan pizza, fresh ingredients, and quality.
