The Opportunity We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support a range of upcoming projects within our client’s large-scale mining operation. This hands‑on role focuses on project scoping, electrical assessments, equipment reviews, and coordinating with project teams to ensure safe and effective project delivery. What the Role Entails Assist in developing scopes of work and electrical engineering requirements for multiple CAPEX projects. Conduct inspections and condition assessments of electrical infrastructure, including MCCs, switchrooms, substations, HV/LV equipment, protection systems, and plant instrumentation. Review drawings, schematics, single line diagrams, calculations, and vendor technical submissions. Provide electrical input into feasibility studies, cost estimates, and constructability reviews. Participate in hazard assessments, risk workshops, design reviews, and technical evaluations. Support project execution, including QA checks, witnessing testing/commissioning, and resolving electrical technical queries. Ensure all electrical work is compliant with Australian Standards, site engineering specifications, and statutory requirements. What You Will Need Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer. Relevant experience in a mining operation, processing plant, or heavy industrial environment. Strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, power distribution, MCCs, motors, instrumentation, and control systems. Comfortable working in an operational processing plant with strict electrical safety protocols. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with project engineers, maintenance teams, and contractors.
