Catering Attendant - Holiday Casuals Location: Cairns, Queensland, Australia Join our fabulous Cairns Airport Catering team for a 3-month casual contract during our busy months of November, December, and January. Earn $30 per hour plus shift penalties and enjoy flexible scheduling across a 7‑day roster. Key Responsibilities Food handling, plating meals, and setting meal trays, ensuring presentation specifications are met using our visual guides. Stocking airline carts with dry store items including equipment, packaged snacks, and beverages. Loading and unloading wash lines, ensuring all cutlery, crockery, and glassware are in perfect condition. Compliance with food safety and hazard guidelines, and adherence to strict hygiene standards and cleaning schedules. Communicate and coordinate with team members to ensure delivery timelines are met for each flight. What You Need Strong attention to detail. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, and to move and lift items. Ability to work a variety of shifts across a 7‑day roster. Neat and tidy presentation. Basic knowledge of food handling and hygiene (desired but not essential). Basic food prep and knife skills (desired but not essential). Access to reliable transport. Required to obtain a clear National Police Check at our cost. Availability to work up to 24 hours per week or more if available. Benefits $30 per hour, plus shift penalties.
