About the Role Reporting to the head of Finance, we have a full time, permanent opportunity for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join our Liverpool team The Senior Commercial Analyst plays a key leadership role in delivering commercial insight, financial modelling, and performance analysis to support strategic decision making. This role will also provide day‑to‑day oversight for the commercial analyst, ensuring consistency and quality in financial reporting across the business. Provide detailed variance analysis, commentary, and insights for business leaders and management meetings. Oversee and improve reporting processes across TM1, Power BI, and Pronto, ensuring efficiency and consistency. Own budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring alignment with business plans and strategic objectives whilst contributing to continuous improvement. Conduct margin, pricing, and volume analysis to identify opportunities to improve profitability. Develop and maintain financial models and scenario analysis for key business initiatives and strategic projects. Partner with Sales and Operations teams to evaluate pricing strategies, customer profitability, and contract performance. Lead improvements in data structures and analytical tools in Power BI and TM1, ensure accuracy and system enhancements. Skills & Experience 5+ years' experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or management accounting roles. Tertiary Accounting Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and CPA/CA qualification. Experience with TM1 is preferred; knowledge of Pronto and Power BI is highly advantageous. Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills, particularly in Excel and Power BI. Strong knowledge of ERP systems and reporting tools. Understanding and experience in managing master data, including product and sales hierarchies. Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate findings into actionable recommendations. Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship building skills, with effective time management abilities. The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre‑employment medical examination. Most importantly at Supagas we value attitude above all else.
