The Team The Cardiac Cath Lab within the Cardiology Department at Launceston General Hospital forms part of the broader cardiology service, including the Coronary Care Unit, non‑invasive cardiology services, CIED management and cardiac rehabilitation. Our multidisciplinary team includes nurses, cardiac technologists, medical staff, administrative support and allied health professionals working collaboratively in a fast‑paced procedural environment. The Role The Hospital Aide will support daily operations within the Cardiac Cath Lab Department by assisting with patient flow, preparing clinical spaces, ensuring infection control standards are maintained and contributing to a clean, well‑organised and safe working environment. Maintain cleanliness and infection‑control compliance across procedure rooms, equipment, consumable areas and patient spaces. Support the clinical team with the setup, restocking and basic handling of equipment to ensure procedure rooms are ready and appropriately maintained. Assist with stores, linen management and consumable tracking to support workflow efficiency and timely service delivery. Communicate respectfully and professionally with patients, families and multidisciplinary staff to support a positive patient experience and effective team workflow. You will need Effective communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team. A willingness to adhere to infection‑control standards and procedural safety requirements. The ability to prioritise tasks, remain flexible and contribute to a positive and efficient working environment. A commitment to ongoing learning and service improvement within a specialised healthcare setting. Details of appointment Permanent part‑time shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 28 hours per fortnight, commencing 1 February 2026. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary $57,130 to $62,486 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
