Patient Care Assistant

The Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. In this rewarding role you will play a vital part in ensuring patient comfort dignity and safety. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Certificate III in Aged Care or Health Services who is passionate about providing high-quality patient-centred care in a supportive and fast-paced environment. Your Key Responsibilities Assist with patient manual handling using appropriate equipment and aides. Provide support to clinical staff and assist patients on admission to settle in comfortably. Assist with emergency responses as required. Clean and maintain equipment and patient areas in line with infection control standards. Carry out additional duties as directed by the Unit Manager or hospital coordinators. Skills and Experience To succeed in this role you will be a positive and effective team player with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be dedicated to providing patient focused care. Qualifications Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or be currently enrolled as a 2nd, 3rd year Registered Nursing student. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Self-motivated and able to work effectively according to directions. High level of interpersonal and communication skills. High level of customer service and excellent time management skills. Understanding of infection control principles. Remuneration On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $30.18 casual Loading based on experience level and qualifications.
