Overview Join the role of NNSWLHD Staff Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist - Head of O&G Department - Grafton Base Hospital at Northern NSW Local Health District . This permanent full‑time position offers a competitive remuneration of $262,376 to $354,479 per annum. Responsibilities Lead and manage the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, planning, developing and providing safe, high quality, contemporary services to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Provide training and support to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice. Participate in an on‑call roster and respond on site within a reasonable time. Qualifications Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways. Demonstrated recent clinical experience as a Senior Medical Officer Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Demonstrated recent leadership and management experience with the ability to work with and develop a multidisciplinary clinical team. Demonstrated effective clinical communication through written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement. It is part of the Clarence Health Service and works closely with Maclean District Hospital and other hospitals in Northern NSW and tertiary hospitals in Southern Queensland.
