About the Role The Deputy Principal works closely with the Principal to support the smooth and effective operation of the school, leading key areas including: Catholic identity and faith formation Community and family engagement Leadership, staffing and professional learning Learning and teaching excellence Student wellbeing and safety School improvement and strategic planning Key Responsibilities Support the Catholic identity of the school through coordination of prayer, liturgy and high-quality Religious Education. Build positive relationships with students, families and staff, and contribute to the school’s presence in the wider community. Lead and support staff in effective learning and teaching, including curriculum development, data use and high-impact instructional practices. Oversee recruitment, induction, professional learning and CRT management, and assist with whole-school planning and improvements. Coordinate assessment and reporting processes to support consistent and effective practices across the school. Promote a safe and supportive environment by contributing to student and staff wellbeing and providing social-emotional and behavioural support when needed.
