Executive Director of Category Management – Defence Digital Group Commercial Branch Defence Digital Group (DDG) Commercial Branch is seeking a confident and engaging Executive Director of Category Management. This influential role is responsible for commercial category management and strategies, providing strategic ICT market and procurement advice, supporting Enterprise ICT arrangements and building relationships with key industry partners. Commercial Branch is a fundamental enabler to ICT across Defence and has broad responsibilities for the commercial management of Enterprise ICT arrangements. You will play a key role in enabling, promoting, influencing and delivering a shared commitment to DDG’s mission of delivering a secure, integrated and scalable information and communications environment able to fight and win in the digital age. About our Team Working in the Defence Digital Group, you will contribute your expertise to some of the most technically demanding and complex ICT and business transformation projects being undertaken globally. DDG is transforming Defence ICT capabilities as a critical enabler of Defence business. We build and maintain critical ICT infrastructure and systems, such as classified and secure military systems, providing a modern, secure, sustainable and scalable information environment to enable current and future military and business operations. Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate will need to demonstrate extensive procurement and contracting experience with a focus on ICT projects, as well as: Being a collaborative leader, exemplifying the Defence Values and Behaviours, and engendering a culture of innovation and agility, considering and respecting a diversity of ideas and perspectives of others. Effectively communicating, negotiating and managing issues to engage stakeholders and ensure deliverables are met. Possessing the capability to provide timely and accurate advice to senior leaders and Government on complex matters, and demonstrating excellent judgement and strategic awareness. Demonstrating inclusive leadership and experience managing teams in a fast‑paced, geographically dispersed and results‑driven environment. Maintaining a customer‑centric and outcomes‑oriented mindset – thinking strategically while making incremental impacts for Defence. Security Clearance Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at "Negative Vetting Level 1".
